NSLL does not want to have rain out games.  This is always our first goal.  Our fields absorb water well, and with the work of our volunteers, we can prepare wet fields for playing ball.  Our system is as follows

0. We will not put on the website if there is a rain out today.  Our first notification goes to the team Manager.  We will do this by Twitter - Everyone can be a part of our twitter account.  Go to www.twitter.com/sanorthside to be a part of our Twitter distribution list.
0. We make rain out decisions based on the following time frames:  9 am, 3pm, game time.  If you have not heard from NSLL or your manager, show up to play games.
0. If there is time, we will update the voice mail, and send an email, but we are moving towards using Twitter exclusively for notification.
0. Lastly, the Park; OP Schnabel, entrance can flood out and we are still playing games.  see below for our alternate entrance.
0. Never assume we are rained out.  Make sure you hear from your coach for games or practice.  Don't forget for games, be a part of our Twitter account.

Alternate Entrance

If the front entrance is closed due to weather.  The creek will sometime get high enough to not allow passage, but the park will still be open.  The alternate entrance is through the French Creek Subdivision.

From Loop 1604, go past Braun Rd. to the next red light and turn left.  From Loop 410, this is the red light prior to Braun Rd, and turn right.  This will be Bresanhan Rd.  Turn left at the first street, Hetherington Rd.  This street will go directly into OP Schnabel Park.  Follow the park road, past the stop sign, past the YMCA and past the basketball courts into the NSLL parking lot.
