TWITTER Is Here!
Go to www.twitter.com/sanorthside to follow Northside Suburban Little League through Twitter. We will use this communication tool to simply provide quick brief information on NSLL. Such as "rain out" "registration date" "evaluation info" etc. Twitter is constantly changing, but below are the instructions on how to use at the time this was written.
Couple of Important Facts to Know regarding Twitter:
1. All Managers must be signed up with the NSLL Twitter Account. This is how we will be providing updates.
2. All Rain Out information will be sent through Twitter starting in the Spring 2010 Season. All Managers will get this, but if you want to know immediately, you can also sign up on the NSLL Twitter account.
Step 1 - Sign Up or Log In
1. Click on the above link to follow sanorthside (Northside Suburban Little League, San Antonio, Texas)
2. Click "Join Today" If you don't have an account, or "Login" if you do have an account
3. For Join today, follow the prompts and create your account
4. Put in your email address and email password to go through the contacts, you don't have to follow anyone, you can unselect everyone if you would like and continue until it says "finish"
5. If you have an account, or if you just set up your account, you will now be in the home page of Twitter.
Step 2 - Set up your mobile phone to receive twitter messages (mass text message) on your phone.
1. Click on "Settings"
2. Click on "Devices"
3. Enter your mobile number with area code in larger box, do not use spaces or dashes.
4. Click on box under save button " It's okay for Twitter..."
5. Click on Save
6. Follow instructions and send a text message from your mobile as requested.
7. When text is sent properly you will receive verification text message.
Step 3 - Allow sanorthside to send text message that you will receive instantly on your mobile phone
1. Click on "Home"
2. Click on "Following"
3. Click on picture of phone under settings next to sanorthside - this will now allow sanorthside to send twitter updates to your phone as a text message. This can be turned off and on.
You are now done, but you can go to the tabs on top right from "Home.....to Sign Out" and change your profiles, picture, password, etc. It is all self explanatory.
