Little League Baseball, Incorporated

is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in the Little League Baseball and Softball".

The basic goal remains the same as it did in 1939,  to give the children of the world a game that provides fundamental principles (sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork) they can use later in life to become good citizens.

Little league was founded in 1939; granted Federal charter July 16, 1964 by unamimous act of the Senate and House of Representatives of Congress and signed by Lyndon B. Johnson as Public Law 88-378, 88th congress H.R. 9234.  Little League is tax exempt.
