NSLL is over 60 years in existence with parents, kids, and teams more energized and competitive than ever.
LEADERS WANTED – MANAGE A TEAM
The Manager of an NSLL Team – Is much like a Professional Baseball Manager. You will be involved with evaluating the kids, drafting your team, selecting your coaches, and organizing your team. It will be your responsibility to run and delegate your duties, from coaching to field duty. Getting parents involved is the key.
Make the Commitment today. Sign up to be a Manager. This is for you; don’t wait for someone else to Manage, NSLL Needs You!
Each season in all of the divisions there are one or two volunteer Managers who are not selected due to too many volunteer Managers in one age bracket, but sometimes there are not enough in a different bracket.
With this in mind, we want to be proactive in putting the Managers together in advance.
The Board anticipates voting Managers into place in January, allowing the complete league to be better prepared for the upcoming Season. If you are interested in becoming a Manager, download the Managers Application and Volunteer Applications and turn them in as soon as possible.
Managing a team is challenging. NSLL considers our Managers the face of Little League. The Board of Directors and all volunteers understand what commitment you are making. We are here to support you.
After you turn in your Managers Packet, your name will be submitted by the committee, the Board President will make the Manager appointments, and the Board of Directors will vote on the list. If you are not chosen to be a Manager, we recommend you talk to your Manager, and volunteer to coach or assist in some other capacity with the team, every volunteer is important.
Northside Little League (NSLL) is run by volunteers, and one of the greatest opportunities available for a parent is to Manage a Teeball, Baseball, or Softball Team. Both Dads and Moms have found it extremely rewarding to be a Manager. The leadership potential in Managing is fantastic. We all understand that we are having fun playing ball, but we also understand the lessons kids learn in playing team sports are lessons carried for the rest of their lives.
